At WHOI, I spearheaded my own research project under the mentorship of Dr. Anne Cohen and Dr. Claudia Cenedese. Using a rotating tank, 3D-printed coral models, and Altimetric Imaging Velocimetry, I investigated how coral shape and orientation influence water flow, heat retention, and restoration potential. My findings offer a new hydrodynamic lens for coral reef restoration, bridging fluid dynamics and marine biology to inform more resilient reef designs.
