Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution - Intern/Researcher
At WHOI, I was given the opportunity to spearhead my own research project under the mentorship and guidance of Dr. Anne Cohen and Dr. Claudia Cenedese. I designed and conducted an experiment in a rotating tank using 3D-printed coral models and Altimetric Imaging Velocimetry to investigate how coral shape and orientation affect water flow, heat retention, and restoration potential. My findings offer a new hydrodynamic lens for coral reef restoration design, bridging fluid dynamics with marine biology to inform more resilient reef layouts.
