I have been working with environmentalists researching the challenge of plastic pollution in Hawaii. In 2021, I started the "Choose to Refuse Plastic" campaign. I work with plumbers and electricians installing reverse osmosis filters at the private and public local schools on my Island. I hope this will help our fragile ecosystem and reduce the medical issues related to plastics, such as cancer.
